Blue Sky Studios in
Tolo
in the county of
Argolida, the Peloponnese peninsula, southern Greece |
Blue Sky Studios are
situated in the tourist resort of Tolo, Argolis in the Peloponnese,
just one and a half hours from Athens and forty five minutes from
Corinth Canal. This small fishing village becomes a popular holiday
resort during the summer months, especially in July and August when
the Athenians travel down to the Argolid for their holidays. Tolon
offers a choice to all, from singles, couples, families and groups,
to those who just want to lie on the lovely beach and swim in the
crystal clear waters, to being active and trying out all the
watersports available or visiting the area and all its' wonderful
archaeological sites.
For those who love the
Greek Cuisine, Tolo is a true paradise, traditional tavernas lining
the beach, tables and chairs on the sea front. Along the high street
you will find more tavernas, grill houses and restaurants, fish
restaurants (don't forget to sample the local wines) intermingled
with cafes, bars, ice cream parlours, snack bars, and due to the
influx of Greek holiday makers you will find the food traditional
and authentic. Strolling along the high street, window shopping or
perusing over the Greek Art, Greek Jewellery to stop finally, for a
drink and watch the world go by. The beach of Tolo, stretching from
the harbour down to the 'sandy beach' which is wide and golden,
narrowing at certain places with pebble and shingle and widening
slightly at the 'harbour end'. Sun beds, umbrellas, pedaloes,
watersports, cafes all close at hand. The water here, beautifully
clear and calm, shelves gently to make it safe even for young
children. The islands in the bay (Coronis and Romvi) make for
interesting snorkelling as does Kastraki Bay. A small boat can take
you a little further to the small island behind the Romvi, Daskalio
(meaning teacher).
Take some time to
explore Ancient Assini which is on the headland at the end of the
bay or take a cruise to one of the islands of Hydra, Spetses or
Poros on daily cruises that leave the harbour of Tolo.. |
